Sometimes I adore ugly animals

Hey all! My second post, I swear it wont be as ramblish and messy as before. It will have more pictures ! But I can't guarantee they're nice pictures.
Yes, sometimes I do adore ugly animals. I don't know why, maybe I feel sorry for them, maybe I see things a different way, or maybe I don't think they're ugly.
Lets start off with my favourite: The star-nosed mole *wipes tear*
I feel sorry for this one, but at the same time I'm amazed at how fast it can eat, in less than a second (apparantly) this mole can recognise, decide and eat its whole prey.

It's blind but has awesome sense of feeling and smell.
And the reason I feel sorry for it is, well.. it has a slimy pink star instead of a nose?
I mean, you would feel sorry for yourself if you had a pink slimy nose right? Michael Jackson* is my labrat, his nose was getting old anyway.. This one is much more efficient, and matches his skin colour ;D
I could probably list 20 more interesting ugly animals but I don't have the committment to write so much.
So next up! *cue drumroll*
The Vampire Sea Spider!
I've never heard of this till now..
Well it does qualify for ugly, but I'm not sure if they can call it 'spider.' It has 5 pairs of legs, and for those mathematically challenged, that's 10 legs, 2 more than normal spiders (that's weird). It lives in antarctica (also weird) and sucks their prey dry (even weirder).
Anyway, I don't really find this one ugly, but just strange. Out of all the prey plentiful areas to live.. WHY ANTARCTICA? o_O
I think scientists will need a new class to put this weird spider in. :o Cause technically, spiders are classified as having 8 limbs.
Okayy, gonna wrap this post up, since it's HOLIDAYYYYS!! ;D A whole week to sleep in, stay up, eat chocolate eggs and relax.
The downside? I also get 3 assignments to complete in that week. Perhaps the teachers think we're eager young students with nothing better to do than work our arses off completing assignments. Pfft.. right.
Anyhoo.
Enjoy the Easter break and take care! ;D

Sometimes I'm new to blogs

WARNING! rr
Before you go on, I advise you to press Ctrl+W if you have a short attention span, or take things too seriously.

Greetings all. I followed a friend here, and I guess we'll just refer to her as NewGirlOnTheBlogg :) Yes it's a mouthful.. but has a nice ring to it. So this blog thing.. I'm not quite sure how it works. Is it like a diary entry? My life story? Or just something in between, a place where I may ramble to anyone who happens to be unfortunate enough to read it?
Well for now, I'll ramble till I have the will power to pull my self away, close the computer and get on with my hardcore Physics Exam revision. Yes :( I shouldn't be typing away here. And yeah, I have no will power after dinner. Yum yum.. Dads cooking. I rarely say that, since he rarely has the will power to cook.

Anyway. Today I'll be rambling to you about Greek Mythology. I myself don't know much about greek myths, but I sure as hell love to read about them. My life ambition used to be to have my own Pegasus, and THEN I read the fine print, 'these are mythological creatures.' Well that didn't stop me, I was too young to know what a 'myth' was.

My favourite myths would have to be Pandoras Box and also the story of Athene and Arachna. For now, I'll just bore you with Pandoras box, or else I won't have time for *shudder* Physics.
Lemme sum it up.

A girl was moulded out of clay by Hephaestus. Aphrodite posed for the sculpture to make it beautiful. Zues breathed life into the figure and the clay sculpture turned into a beautiful girl.
Each God gave her a gift. Apollo taught her how to sing, Demeter to tend the garden, Aphrodite to look at a man without moving her eyes and how to dance without moving her legs. Poseidon gave her an enchanted necklace which promised she'd never drown, Hermes gave her a golden box which she was promised to never open, and along with that, Hera gave her Curiosity.

The beautiful girl Pandora was given to Epimetheus and they were married. Pandora enjoyed her life with Epimetheus but only one thing bothered her; the golden box. Everyday she would polish it and leave it on the table in the sun. It sparkled and winked at her, tempting her to open and see what t
reasures were inside.
She began to think of the treasures inside.. 'if it's so beautiful on the outside, then it must be in the inside.'
She thought of gems, diamonds and gold more lovely than have ever been seen.
Eventually, she hid it in a storeroom. But that didn't work, everyday she would find reasons to keep walking past the room, sometimes taking the box and stroking it.
Days past quickly and she took the box out again for the final time and locked it in a chest. She put shackles and chains on the chest and buried it in a deep hole. Then she placed a large boulder on top of the buried chest.
Later that night, she could not sleep. The room was swimming in moonlight, and all she could think about was the golden chest. She tiptoed in silence out into the garden, she pushed the boulder and it felt as light as a pebble. Suddenly she felt a wild with energy and began to dig. Once the chest was dug up, she broke the shackles and held the cold box in her hands. Gently, she took out the key and unlocked the chest. There came a foul smell, and out of the box swarmed small scaly lizardlike creatures with wings like bats and eyes a fiery red.
They circled her head and flew off into the night, cackling and screaming thin jeering screams.
With the last of her energy, Pandora shut the lid trapping the last of the lizard-like creature before fainting. The deathly creatures that had flown out were ills that beset man-kind, they brought disease, famine, illness, pain, sorrow and death.
It would have been much worse if Pandora had not closed the lid on the last spite, foreboding.

and blah blah.. world would have collapsed if she did. I took half of that story from my old story book 'The Greek Gods' by Evslin, Evslin and Hoopes (this is so I don't get my ass kicked for copyrightness)

Anyway, there isn't really a reason why I love that story, it's always been a classic for me.
'And that's what happens when you become too curious! The world suffers!' Is what I learnt back then.
But I can't help it, as humans, our nature is to seek what we don't know. Once I'm curious, I'm unstoppable :P Everyone knows that..
If you tell me there's a rainbow cupcake that can talk in the middle of a volcano.. you can count on me to do whats in my power to see the cupcake and maybe take a couple of photos. (I really wish there were talking rainbow cupcakes, it would make my life so much happier)

Time to finish this post.. my god.. is this really what a blogs meant to be like? [/rant]
Soo..HAPPYPHYSICSNERDSTUDYINGTIME! :D
